7 days tour of the essential sites of classical Greece: Athens – Delphi – Kalambaka – Meteora – Thessaloniki – Vergina

1st day: Athens city tour Half day Athens sight seeing tour. Included a short visit to the Acropolis of Athens and the Acropolis Museum , said to be one of the highest profile cultural projects undertaken in Europe this decade. The tour provides a unique contrast of modern Athens with sites of significant historical importance. Experience the harmony of the 'Golden Ratio' employed in the design of many these structures . In this condensed tour the guests are exposed to many sites and locations in the centre of Athens which they may desire to visit.

2nd day: Delphi - Kalambaka Visit the archaeological site, and, the Museum of Delphi. Delphi Archaeological museum is one of the principal museums of Greece and one of the most visited. It is operated by the Greek Ministry of Culture. Founded in 1903, it has been re-arranged multiple times and houses the discoveries made at the panhellenic sanctuary of Delphi, which date from the prehistoric period through to late Antiquity. Depart for Kalambaka via Central Greece (short stop by Lamia). Kalambaka is a small town built at the foot of the majestic grey rocks and crowned by the Meteora Monasteries. Kalambaka was voted as one of the most beautiful places in Greece. Overnight stay in Kalambaka.

3th day: Meteora - Thessaloniki Leave in the morning for nearby Meteora to visit the Byzantine Monasteries. The Meteora is one of the largest and most important complexes of Greek Orthodox monasteries in Greece. The six monasteries are built on natural sandstone rock pillars, at the northwestern edge of the Plain of Thessaly near the Pineios river and Pindus Mountains, in central Greece. Drive by Trikala and Larissa to the famous, sacred Macedonian town of Dion. Then, continue to Thessaloniki, the largest town in Northern Greece. Visit the most interesting museum of Thessaloniki and sightseeing of the city. Overnight stay in Thessaloniki.

4th day: Pella – Vergina - Thessaloniki Leave in the morning for Pella, Alexander the Great's capital. Pella, is best known as the ancient and wealthy capital of the kingdom of Macedon in the time of Alexander the Great in modern day Greece. For the modern town see Pella (municipality). On the site of the ancient city is the Archaeological Museum of Pella. Continue to Vergina to visit the Tomb of the King Philip and the famous "Vergina Treasures". The small village of Vergina, is now one of the most important archaeological sites in Greece as its grounds hold some of the richest ancient treasures ever found. Return to Thessaloniki.

5th day: Tempi Valley - Thermopylae - Athens Start the return drive to Athens, through the Tempi Valley, Larissa, Lamia, Thermoplyae famous for the ancient battle that took place there and Kamena Vourla.

6th day: Free day for shopping in Athens Mall.

7th day: Transfer from hotel-airport.
